Barbecued
No, I am not kidding. I posted this on April 3, not April 1.
Beginning this summer, residents of Wallonia, Belgium, will have to pay €20 (or about $26) each time they throw something on the barbie. How will the Belgian authorities enforce this, you ask? With helicopter patrols using heat-detecting equipment, of course! C'mon, it's not like a helicopter emits more greenhouse gasses than a well-done hamburger.

What is scary about this, is that it might start catching on like so many ridiculous ideas the liberals come up with. Try this law in Texas and you might have a revolution on your hands.
How about a world-wide "carbon emmissions" income tax? It's been proposed at the UN...and of course they would manage the billions of $ collected from this fund.
The authorities are now claiming this is a hoax. But knowing how things are run over here in Europe, I wouldn't be surprised if they tried the BBQ tax.

Here is the best part of the link- "Belgian media was implicated in another practical joke last December when state television broke into its regular programming with a report that the Dutch-speaking half of the country, Flanders, had declared its independence and that the king and queen had fled.
Panic ensued, with frantic calls being placed by foreign embassies and Belgian citizens to the government demanding an explanation, and order was only restored when the state-owned RTBF television station admitted the report was a hoax."
